NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY

The first days and weeks of your newborn’s life are truly special, and they pass by faster than most parents expect. Tiny hands, delicate features, and those first precious moments together soon become treasured memories. A newborn photoshoot allows you to preserve this beautiful stage forever.

I recommend scheduling the session when your baby is between 4 and 14 days old. During this time, newborns tend to sleep more deeply and are generally more relaxed, which creates ideal conditions for natural and peaceful photographs. I usually allow 2–3 hours for the session so that we can work entirely at your baby’s pace. Much of the time is often spent feeding, changing diapers, comforting your baby, and allowing them to settle between photographs.

Most newborn sessions take place in your own home. Being in a familiar environment helps both baby and parents feel comfortable and relaxed, while everything you need is close at hand. Home sessions also create meaningful and personal images that reflect your family and this special chapter of your lives.

I recommend booking your newborn session during pregnancy to ensure availability. If your baby arrives earlier or later than expected, we can simply adjust the date. Flexibility is important, and the most important thing is that the session takes place at the right time for your family.

Newborn photography is about more than just taking pictures of a baby. It is about preserving memories of a unique moment in life—how tiny your baby was, what your family looked like during those first days together, and the feeling of welcoming a brand-new member into your family.

How to prepare for your photoshoot

• If possible, try to keep your baby awake for 1–2 hours before the session.
• Please feed your baby shortly before the session begins. A full baby is often more content and sleepy.
• Dress your baby in loose-fitting clothes that are easy to remove without disturbing their sleep.
• Feel free to bring a pacifier, even if your baby does not use one regularly. It can sometimes help soothe them between photos.
• If you would like family or sibling photos, neutral-colored clothing without large logos or patterns is recommended.
• The session will always be at your baby’s pace, with breaks for feeding, diaper changes, cuddles, and comfort whenever needed.

Most importantly, come relaxed and without stress. I look forward to meeting you and creating beautiful memories together!
